About the company

Stafford Aero Technologies was formed in 1969 to offer electronic and engineering solutions to control and instrumentation systems, whether in orbit, flying, on the ground, at sea, or under the sea.

With the philosophy of "why crack a nut with a sledge hammer when nut crackers will do", our approach has meant our solutions are simplistic and extremely cost effective.

Initially we specialised in electronics, but over the years we have gained experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and radio frequency systems, enabling us to offer complete solutions where necessary.

Stafford Aero Technologies equipment can be found behind the scenes whenever quality and reliability are the key concerns.

You may be surprised where you will find our systems:

  • Controlling the original helium valves on the atomic particle collision ring in CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. We didn't do the new ones which failed.
  • Supporting the British Aerospace Hawk
  • Hauling up cables inside the BT Tower in London
  • Controlling airship systems
  • Fly by light, flight control systems
